Dr Aparajita (AJ) Jeedigunta helps historically marginalised and underrepresented high performers exponentially increase their leadership skills, presence, income and social impact while eliminating the misery of being overworked and underappreciated. She is the Founder & CEO of AJ RAO, a boutique firm whose values are mental wellbeing, interconnectedness, authenticity and intentional inclusion. AJ RAO works with businesses to create intentionally inclusive and interconnected spaces of wellbeing and belongingness so they can empower their talent to thrive while cutting costs and increasing profits.
In this episode we talk about how Dr AJ found her purpose on her journey from psychology and academia to mental wellbeing advocacy and intentional inclusion. We talk about the stigma around mental health as an immigrant woman from a south asian community, how Dr AJ created her own entity where her power and agency are not beholden to anyone else, why representation matters, why it is because of our intersectionalities that we are interconnected as people, the importance of understanding yourself and unlearning, how to be an intentional ally, and the power of language (examples - replacing the words “guys” and “tribe”).
